Keith's Hot Sauce

Keith Habersberger rose to fame with The Try Guys, created with friends Ned Fulmer, Eugene Lee Yang and Zach Kornfield. With his "Eat the Menu" series, Keith solidified his role in the foodiverse by eating every menu item at some of America's favorite restaurants. When Keith reached out to us about creating a hot sauce based on his love of buffalo sauce and ranch dressing, we knew he was on to something special. After months of testing and honing flavors, we came up with a super-tasty combination of serrano peppers, Vermont maple syrup, roasted red pepper, maple wood smoked onions, a ranch like mix of garlic scapes, dill, parsley, chives and black pepper, plus sour cream powder for creaminess. And thus, Keith's Chicken Sauce was born!

That tangy, mild, flavorful hot sauce quickly became a hit among Try Guys fans and hot sauce lovers alike. In fact, Keith Habersberger fans loved Chicken Sauce so much that we decided to create hot sauces for Keith's other favorite foods: burgers and tacos. Keith's Burger Sauce and Keith's Taco Sauce were introduced shortly after, making mealtime more delicious with not-too-hot smoked serrano peppers and jalapenos. Now Keith takes his sauces with him on his Try Guys and Eat the Menu adventures to spice up even the most lackluster menu items. Most recently, a new Keith's Hot Sauce was introduced: introducing Keith's Hot Chicken Sauce!

Keith Habersberger Hot Sauce FAQ

Keith's Habersberger's not-too-hot sauces are mild hot sauces with just enough heat to add fun with lots of flavor. You can use a lot in one sitting! On a scale of 1-10, Keith's Chicken Sauce is a 2/10, while Burger Sauce and Taco Sauce are around 3/10. Keith's newest hot sauce, Keith's Hot Chicken Sauce is a 4/10 thanks to a handful of ghost peppers in each batch.

Keith's Hot Sauces pair with so many foods beyond their namesakes! For instance, Keith's Chicken Sauce and Keith's Hot Chicken Sauce may lend themselves perfectly to all types of chicken, but their buffalo sauce meets ranch dressing flavor adds tangy deliciousness to pizza, wraps, veggies, eggs and more.

And Keith's Burger Sauce isn't just for burgers! Try it on salads, grilled cheese, steak, grilled portobellos and sandwiches.

Keith's Taco Sauce shakes up taco Tuesdays with its verde sauce meets cinnamon raisin blend. It's also exceptional with nachos, rice and beans, pork chops, burritos, omelets and more!

We don't ask our small-batch hot sauce makers to get each and every sauce Scoville tested as Scoville units are mostly used for peppers, and testing can be a lengthy and sometimes costly process. For sauces, we prefer to use a 1-10 scale, with 1 being the mildest hot sauces, 5 for medium hot sauces and 10 for the hottest hot sauces. Keith's Chicken Sauce is a 2/10 with mild jalapeño (2,000 to 8,000 Scoville Heat Units or SHU) and serrano peppers (10,000 to 23,000 Scoville Heat Units or SHU). Burger Sauce and Taco Sauce are around 3/10 with a similar pepper blend. Keith's newest hot sauce, Keith's Hot Chicken Sauce is a 4/10 thanks to a handful of ghost peppers (up to 1 million Scoville Heat Units) in each batch. Using only a few per batch and mixing in the sour cream powder ensures each bottle has just-right, medium heat.

Keith's Chicken Sauce, Burger Sauce and Taco Sauce are all made by Claire Georges of Butterfly Bakery of Vermont. Claire started as a chef making gourmet foods like jams and pastries at her bakery, but turned to making on hot sauces when a friend had a spare 800 lbs of chili peppers. Now Claire makes the tastiest hot sauces possible by partnering with local Vermont farms to source fresh produce. Each bottle of Keith's Hot Sauce is packed with well-balanced flavor from ingredients like pure Vermont maple syrup, sustainably grown red serrano peppers, locally-made organic distilled vinegar and, for Chicken Sauce, iconic ranch herbs like dill, parsley and chive.

Keith's Chicken Sauce and Keith's Hot Chicken Sauce are completely vegetarian, but not vegan (sour cream powder). If you're looking to try one of Keith's hot sauces that is vegan, checkout Keith's Taco Sauce!

Keith's Burger Sauce contains no animal ingredients. Some vegans may consider figs to be a non-vegan ingredient.

The ingredients used in Keith's Hot Sauces are gluten free, but they are packaged in a facility that also processes gluten products. So if you have an extreme gluten allergy, please consult a doctor to see if there's a safe way to test it before trying.
