Day-one fans know that we’re always cooking up more fun and excitement based on your tasting and our testing. After 8 years — and growing from limited-quantity drops of a thousand bottles to a million bottles shipped directly to fans and grocery stores across the country — it’s time for our Los Calientes sauces to get a glow up.
We’ve worked over the past year to revamp our Los Calientes Verde, Rojo and Barbacoa sauces to keep bringing you the great flavor you love, now in 2.0 versions that will be available on heatonist.com starting June 1, 2026.
Nothing’s changed about our commitment to bold flavors and our focus on real ingredients. We worked tirelessly with our sauce production team to ensure this recipe meets our (and your) high standards, with small enhancements so the sauces still fit in seamlessly wherever you are already using Los Calientes and deliver maximum flavor and consistency with every bite.

LOS CALIENTES 2.0 FAQ
We launched the first Los Calientes (Verde) back in 2018. After eight years, it was time for a glow up. This evolution will allow us to keep bringing you the flavor you love, all day, every day.
Our founder, Noah, explained it best in a recent Reddit AMA, "One of the things I've learned recently after 13 years in this business is that if you're not working every day to make things better, they will begin to erode on their own. After so many years of making Los Cal we needed to shore things up for the future, which meant switching some of the ingredients that were more seasonal (like apricot and culantro) for things that can be available on the market year round (like pineapple and cilantro). The overall flavor profile and vibe of each sauce has stayed the same, and I think the 2.0 versions are an upgrade. Power users like you will notice the change, but I don't think everyone will be able to from flavor alone, so we're putting yellow caps on the new ones so everyone can tell. Definitely let me know what you think after you try them."
The new Los Calientes 2.0 bottles will be available on this website starting June 1, 2026, and roll out to retailers on an ongoing basis.

We made minor ingredient swaps to deliver maximum flavor + fire. The next-gen Los Calientes are smoky, sweet, tart… everything we loved about the OGs, but turned up a notch.
