Hot Ones Hot Sauce Recall

March 21, 2025 -- We and our manufacturing partners recently issued a voluntary recall of a limited number of batches of Hot Ones Los Calientes Verde and Rojo sauces due to a potential plastic foreign object issue that happened at one of our manufacturer’s kitchens.

Customers can rest assured that HEATONIST identified and disposed of nearly all of the affected bottles before they left our warehouse, meaning no recalled bottles were shipped to heatonist.com customers or sold to customers at our Heatonist flagship stores. None of the hot sauce bottles used on the Hot Ones show were part of the limited batches subject to the recall.

Currently, the unaccounted recalled products are isolated to a small number (less than 1%) of impacted bottles that may have reached a handful of retail partners in states North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. We have notified those specific retail partners and instructed them to check the lot Best By Dates and dispose of any impacted shipments.

Our manufacturing partner has identified the source of the plastic material and we are confident that this was an isolated issue that has been addressed at the manufacturing kitchen. We take food quality and safety very seriously and thank our community and partners for their support during this process.
